Casey Stoner confident Honda can still be much better than now

MotoGP champion, Casey Stoner will lead the first race in the 1000cc era with a strong capital because it has mastered the three pre-season testing in 2012.

After being the fastest on the first two trials at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, Australia rider’s back to being the fastest in the third test at the Spanish Jerez circuit. Stoner scored 0173 times a second quicker than Jorge Lorenzo, and incised on the last lap.

“Today we are very satisfied with the record that we provide information, but I think we can still improve performance before the actual race was held,” said Repsol Honda team rider.

“We do a lot of laps to determine the power consumption of fuel and some other stuff, and overall we were very pleased with how our trial took place. Furthermore, we are able to lead the race with more calm,” said Stoner.

The only negative thing is just a problem experienced by Stoner chatter (vibration motor) had in Sepang due to the performance of Bridgestone tires that are less good. Stoner felt it again in Jerez, but observed that chatter is caused by something else.

“On our last day of re-experiencing the chatter, but we have found the cause and likely not the same as the cause of chatter in Sepang,” he concluded.
